I will admit to not being able to get too excited about tomatoes during the winter when supermarket tomatoes are pale and mealy and tasteless. But come summertime when those big gorgeous tomatoes start showing up in gardens, farmers' markets, produce stands and, yes, even supermarkets, I can't think of enough ways to eat them.
